NAKED ORB

Chile, nov 2023- march 2024.

On Earth, the atmosphere has just vaporised, swallowed by galactic silence. Clouds unravelled—their drifts blasted into nothingness.

Where a breathing dome stretched blue infinite, now hangs a dark void—a fragile Orb adrift in the abyss.

The Earth is bare, her once life-nurturing body exposed to the vacuum of space. Behind, only human geoglyphs remain—fading relics of terrestrial desires.

Naked Orb seeks meaning, visualising a Planet bereft of its living veil, morphed over millions of years of biodiverse symbiosis.

It is part of the“Geoglyphs of the Anthropocene”, a 18-month investigation into South America’s mining territories at the confluence of sciences, humanities, and spirituality.

In the cosmic silence, human presence narrates geological time—topographies of systemic extraction, economic asymmetries, geopolitical inequalities and ecological amnesia carved into Orb’s fragile body.

Are these geoglyphs metaphors for our ambitions and inability to reciprocate Earth’s generosity?
